چکیده
We consider certain classes of “exponential functions” on time scales, which are defined via dynamic equations and generalize the ordinary exponential function. In this paper we are interested first in the asymptotic behavior of these functions (say compared with the ordinary exponential) and second, how to efficiently calculate matrix analogues of these functions. For the latter question we discuss a recent algorithm introduced by W. A. Harris, Jr. and compare it to the well-known Putzer algorithm. AMS (MOS) Subject Classification. 39A10.

Spectral methods for the equations of classical density-functional theory: relaxation dynamics of microscopic films.
We propose a numerical scheme based on the Chebyshev pseudo-spectral collocation method for solving the integral and integro-differential equations of the density-functional theory and its dynamic extension. We demonstrate the exponential convergence of our scheme, which typically requires much fewer discretization points to achieve the same accuracy compared to conventional methods. This discr...

In this paper, the dynamical heteroclinic orbit and attractor have been employed to make the late-time behaviors of the model insensitive to the initial condition and thus alleviates the fine tuning problem in cosmological dynamical system of barotropic fluid and quintessence with a double exponential potential. The late-time asymptotic behavior of the double exponential model does not always c...
متن کاملIntroduction of a Novel Two-Dimensional Equation of State to Predict Gas Equilibrium Adsorption in Highly-Nonideal Systems
Abstract The accurate calculations of adsorption equilibrium for multicomponent gas systems are of great importance in many applications. In this paper, five two-dimensional equations of state 2D-EOS, i.e. Van der Waals, Eyring, Zhou-Ghasem-Robinson, Soave-Redlich-Kwong and Peng-Robinson, were examined to find out their abilities to predict adsorption equilibrium for pure and multi-component ga...
متن کاملCharacterization of the Dynamic Response of Continuous Systems Discretized Using Finite
Nonlinear dynamic physical systems exhibit a rich variety of behaviors. In many cases, the system response is unstable, and the behavior may become unpredictable. Since an unstable or unpredictable response is usually undesirable in engineering practice, the stability characterization of a system's behavior becomes essential. In this work, a numerical procedure to characterize the dynamic stabi...
متن کاملA Fully Integrated Method for Dynamic Rock Type Characterization Development in One of Iranian Off-Shore Oil Reservoir
Rock selection in modeling and simulation studies is usually based on two techniques; routinely defined rock types and those defined by special core analysis (SCAL). The challenge in utilizing these two techniques is that they are frequently assumed to be the same, but in practice, static rock-types (routinely defined) are not always representative of dynamic rock-types (SCAL defined) in the re...
